Roberto Failed To Find His Admin On His Own

Having searched for and hired three executive assistants in the past, none of the placements worked out. With EA, Roberto finally found his match.

Executive Backstory:

Roberto’s story includes a compelling career in the Title business and the purchase of a Title company where he’s been serving for over 17 years. Roberto has searched for and hired executive assistants in the past, three to be exact, but each placement never took off. While giving an update during his monthly peer group meeting, his meeting facilitator suggested he seek out help to either train or replace the assistant. Roberto, being overwhelmed by the lofty task, asked for suggestions. The meeting facilitator recommended Hilani with Exceptional Admins as the go-to option in Denver for both services.

First Touch Point:

Roberto showed up to the first call vulnerable and frustrated. He needed someone who loved to do the tasks he hated to do: calendaring, meeting follow up, email management, project launch and so on. He expressed all his pain points and his big business goals for the year and future. He shared stories about the failed attempts, then asked how working together would help him avoid making another. He thought his requests were maybe just unreasonable and that’s why it never took off. Hilani offered stable advice and assured him he wouldn’t be going it alone.

The Decision:

For the first time, Roberto felt relief around the subject of an assistant. Hilani not only understood his pain points, and what skills would be needed to do them, but also the business growth goals he had and how an assistant would help him reach them. Roberto signed the agreement shortly after the call.

The Results:

One week later, the search kicked off. The search spanned over 3 weeks with only one candidate being presented. The process was precise and the candidate was exactly what he was looking for. After making an offer and onboarding his new administrative professional, Roberto reported on day two, he thinks he did too much too soon. He reached out to Hilani and asked for a call. He expressed he put her in all his back to back meetings on day one, and gave her free reign over his email and now she’s overwhelmed. He didn’t want to lose her, so he asked, “What should I do?” Hilani reminded him, “She has zero context and without that context, she’s not set up for success.” She offered additional tailored advice and assured him, it wasn’t too late. It’s a marathon, so pick a steady pace. He can report that his new partner is the best one he’s ever had and exactly what he had envisioned.
